It is difficult to break into the modeling industry. While Paloma is part of the industry’s greater diversity shift, she is still acutely aware of how marginalized communities are treated in fashion. She continues to fight against discrimination against black people, unrealistic beauty standards, and mental health issues, especially after suffering from addiction and depression herself. Most importantly, she is open about her insecurities and fears, which makes her more human.
